Locket: Process Shots

Here is how I want to orient my locket to open.
It is my hope that this actually works. My hinge may need to be microscopic.
Pray for me.

This photo shows how far I got on Friday. I soldered my internal framing and filed. and filed. and fiiiiiiiled.
At present my locket is super glued and waiting on a hinge seat to be filed.
I am terrified.

When I learned how to do a hinge, Jan made us make a sample hinger. Instead of 5mm in length tubing pieces I did 2 mm lengths of tubing! It was crazy but it worked. You can do it!

I did make the sample, I found that easy enough. My knuckles on the actual locket are less than 2mm and on the lower round section.
I'm pretty sure I've lost over 10 knuckles to the dark corners of the studio though!
